Outdoor cinema: Silence on tour in Paris!

The 7th art returns to its summer quarters! Enjoy outdoor cinema in Paris and see or review some of the masterpieces of the cinematographer’s art. The Chess Hotel is delighted to suggest a few of these temporary cinemas under the stars. Thrills and chills, laughter and wonder guaranteed!

 

 

The Château de Vincennes: A canvas under the stars

 

Vincennes locals of all ages would never miss this event – nor should you! From 6th to 8th July 2017 the Château de Vincennes will see the return of its "canvas under the stars". An eclectic programme includes classics, comedy and vampire films with highlights such as "Birds", "Dark Shadows" and “Moonrise Kingdom”. Just take your seat on the lawn between the King's and Queen's pavilions.

 

 

La Villette and its outdoor cinema festival

 

The famous Villette open-air cinema festival promises to be "great for movie buffs" this year! From 20th July to 20th August 2017 you’ll have a month of free screenings on the theme of cooking! Enjoy a feast for your eyes and (virtually) taste buds at screenings of Babette's Feast, Tokyo Delights, Madison Road, Rebellious Nuptials and, of course, Ratatouille to name just a few.

 

 

Cinema in the open air at Wanderlust

 

Quai d'Austerlitz, super-cool HQ of Le Wanderlust offers you a cinema session in a magical atmosphere every Monday evening during the summer. Its huge terrace is transformed into a projection room under the stars, complete with deckchairs. The programme hasn’t been released yet but the event promises to be just as successful as previous editions. Stop for a glass of rosé at the bar before ending the evening in club mode with live DJs till 2 a.m.

 

 

Festival Au Clair de Lune

 

Make a note in your planner for the 17th edition of Cinéma au Clair de Lune From 28th July to 13th August 2017. Parents and children can discover classics in the open air through films for young audiences, comedies and dramas.
