From March 15th you can also rediscover a charming ballet-pantomime by Jean Dauberval, dating from 1789 and entitled La Fille Mal Gardee.
The beauty of contemporary dance
In a completely different spirit, contemporary dance will occupy the stage of the Palais Garnier in January with the Swiss ballet company, Béjart Ballet de Lausanne, returning ten years after its last tour here. Under the artistic direction of Gil Roman since 2007, the company performs pieces by the French-born dancer, director and choreographer, Maurice Béjart and continues to focus on creation. Finally, don’t miss the astonishing Sadeh21 by Ohad Naharin in February. In a subtly evolving monochrome decor, 21 movement studies constitute a subtle and touching narrative thread. A true exploration of body language.
