The new edition of FIAC
Categories : Fairs and Trade Shows, Events, published on : 10/10/21
An unmissable event for professionals and enthusiasts alike, the international contemporary art fair FIAC, is increasingly open to all. With galleries, conferences, exhibitions outside the walls, parades and digital initiatives, the FIAC is constantly reinventing itself to reach an ever-increasing public. Don't miss it during your stay at the Chess Hotel!
FIAC throughout Paris
Usually hosted by the Grand Palais, the FIAC has been relocated this year due to the renovation of that building. Thus, this leading art event will take place in a temporary Grand Palais, a gigantic wooden structure erected on the Champ de Mars under the watchful eye of the Eiffel Tower. Although it will be the main FIAC venue, this pop-up Grand Palais is not the only place where you can enjoy the vibrant contemporary art scene in Paris. With a monumental work by Alexander Calder on the Place Vendôme, sculptures and other creations in the Jardin des Tuileries, works engaged in a dialogue with those of Delacroix at the Delacroix Museum, and galleries open at night, contemporary art is present throughout Paris.
A panorama of current creation
One of the objectives of the FIAC is to present the great diversity of current artistic production. Some 160 galleries will participate in the 47th edition. Artists who are already essential on the international scene or young and up-and-coming creators offer their personal artistic visions. Sections of the fair are also reserved for young galleries as well as for design and publishing. Around forty of them will participate virtually via a dedicated platform that will allow you to access a wealth of information on the artists exhibited and the galleries, sign the book of these galleries and select your favourites.
From October 21st to 24th, 2021, Paris will pulse to the rhythm of contemporary art with the FIAC. Come and share the experience by booking your stay at the Chess Hotel Paris.
