Brunch in Paris

When the sun shines on Paris a languid air settles on the capital, tempting you to succumb to your desires during your stay at the Chess Hotel. Naturally, greed and laziness are to the fore – longings that only a deliciously, hearty brunch on a stylish terrace can satisfy – at least momentarily!
But where to brunch?
There is nothing worse (well almost) than a bad brunch. Everyone has their own little preferences, their special sins. However, it's surely unanimous that a brunch must be tasty and generous. There should be an abundance of both savoury and sweet, a generous spread that includes crispy pastries, jams and marmalades, cheeses, meat, cream, yogurt and freshly baked breads. A few original and exotic additions will spice up any Sunday. With that said and, since we have no secrets from our guests, it's time to reveal our favourite gourmet addresses.

Claus (2 rue Clement, 75006) - where you'll be seduced by the cinnamon-nut buns, smoked salmon rösti, and eggs of every description. Signature dishes and delicacies reflect the establishment's German origins.
Installed in an old station of the Paris small belt line, Hasard Ludique (128, avenue de Saint-Ouen is ideal for those sunny days. Soup, hot and cold dishes, desserts, juices and hot drinks galore can be enjoyed on the terrace overlooking the quay or in the shared garden.
Tacos, guacamole, bacon and other fruit juices are so much tastier outdoors on the temporary terrace of the Palazzo (293, Daumesnil Avenue, 75012). Shaded by straw umbrellas, you can linger over brunch as you gaze over the Palais de la Porte Dorée and dream of tropical beaches.
