We are well into the season of autumn now, and as we present our October news our thoughts are turning increasingly towards the Christmas season. Place Vendôme; The symbol of luxury and elegance in Paris

Located in the first arrondissement, just north of the Tuileries Gardens, is a masterpiece of urban design that was laid out in the late 17th and early 18th centuries. Originally created to reflect the glory of the Sun King, Louis XIV, and his military might, it remains an architectural treasure to this day. Napoleon I had the central column erected to commemorate a military victory in 1810, and a statue of the emperor stands imperiously atop the monument today. All around the square are luxury stores embodying a refinement and elegance that is entrancing, adding to the unique ambience of the Place Vendôme.

The Café de la Paix; A Parisian institution

Located within the Intercontinental Paris Le Grand Hotel can be found the Café de la Paix. Named after the Rue de la Paix, this famous café restaurant located close to the Opera Garnier will charm you with its elegance, woo you with its fascinating history and seduce you with the excellence of the cuisine prepared by the head chef Christophe Raoux and pastry chef Dominique Costa.
