A return to Paris Design Week

Once again, over 300 exhibitors will take part in Paris Design Week from September 6th to 15th – discover the design trends of today and tomorrow in every corner of the capital. It's a chance to see beautiful works by some of today's most exciting designers - and to enjoy beautiful and imaginative places when you stay at Chess Hotel Paris.
Everywhere - design
An invitation to explore every part of the capital is one of the main characteristics of Paris Desin Week, a week dedicated to design. In Concorde, Saint-Germain-des-Prés, Bastille, Barbès, and in the Marais, the doors of hotels, restaurants, shops and, of course, museums, galleries, and concept stores are opened. You'll find furniture, lighting, wallpapers, fabrics, accessories and even kitchen utensils fresh from the designer's imaginations. Travelling across Paris to see beautiful pieces by some of the world's most innovative designers means double the pleasure – and the walking is good for your health!
And the events
The programme is filled with unique events, many of which focus on promising young designers. The Rado Star Prize contest offers talented new designers the opportunity to present their work to the public before a winner is chosen. The Now! le off exhibition, organised by the City of Fashion and Design, is also a springboard for up and coming designers. Several themed exhibitions are proposed; recycled materials, the colour red, art books, and washi - the traditional Japanese paper art. You'll also find demonstrations and an "original archi" section that presents the work of architects, ironwork artists, faucet manufacturers, floor covering designers, graffiti artists and even "architectural cuisine". A programme that invites you to think, to learn, to dream….
